Job Description
One to One Personnel is proud to be working with a growing organisation who are looking to hire a Project Manager to join their team.
To be considered for this role you are required to have 3 years surveying/project management experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To assist and support the Building Surveying & Project Management Team. Where necessary, taking the lead on various size projects
- To develop specifications, technical drawings, health and safety and various other documentation for the purposes of tender and statutory approvals
- Undertake building surveys and diagnose typical building defects
- Identify appropriate repair strategies and cost appraisals
- Drafting technical reports and make appropriate recommendations
- Prepare, issue and advise upon contract documentation for JCT forms of contract
- Draft and issue project risk assessments
- Undertake condition surveys, asset management surveys, measured surveys and schedules of condition
- To undertake project management, contract administration and employers agent duties/functions
- Submit monitoring returns to central government funding body
- Undertake site inspections, attend and chair progress meetings and draft / distribute meeting minutes
- Produce reports on the progress of on site works
- Produce project financial monitoring statements for client review
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practice (this includes but not limited to: Building Regulations, British/European Standards, HSE publications, RICS documentation, CIBSE and BRE Guides)
- Assist in the mentoring and overseeing of junior staff within the Building Surveying / Project management Team
Experience/Skills required
- 3-4 years Project Management/Surveyor experience
- Hold an appropriate degree in Building Surveying (or similar and applicable subject)
- Desirable degree to be RICS accredited
- Demonstratable experience working within a Surveying consultancy environment
- To be self motivating, enthusiastic and a keen willingness to learn
- Ability to work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Good IT skills, can use day to day office software such as Microsoft Office products
