Our client is a market-leader expanding their UK & Ireland operations and looking for a self-motivated sales professional to drive business growth. As a New Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in managing existing client relationships while proactively seeking out new business opportunities. This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel across the UK & Ireland, with a weekly presence at the Southend-on-Sea office.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management (25%)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to increase revenue
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support
- Ensure regular contact with clients to address needs and maintain satisfaction
- New Business Development (75%)
- Identify and target new customers within the UK & Ireland
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and industry events
- Present and sell solutions, tailoring proposals to client needs via Teams and Face to Face meetings
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Attend weekly team meetings at the Southend office to share updates and market insights
- Provide regular feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and project delivery
- Travel
- Travel across the UK and Ireland to meet clients and prospects
- Occasional travel to Europe for team meetings, training and product updates
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and sales within the B2B sector
The Package
- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Competitive Bonus Structure (between 1-3k per quarter)
