An established and growing compliance services provider is seeking an experienced Legionella Services Manager to lead its water hygiene operations to cover a maternity contract. This role will oversee service delivery across multiple contracts, ensuring full compliance with industry standards while driving team performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. It’s an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader to take ownership of a specialist division and contribute to its continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee day-to-day running of Legionella service teams
- Plan and manage all works, including PPM schedules
- Ensure all services are delivered on time and to required compliance standards
- Monitor workloads and allocate resources effectively
- Manage both field and admin teams
- Provide technical guidance and ongoing support
- Conduct performance reviews and support development/training
- Identify recruitment needs and onboard new staff or subcontractors
- Manage key client accounts and maintain strong relationships
- Lead client meetings and performance reviews
- Respond to queries and complaints promptly with clear action plans
- Support account growth and retention
- Ensure all work complies with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
- Oversee completion and submission of compliance reports within deadlines
- Manage positive sampling results and advise on corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records within compliance systems
- Monitor KPIs and ensure targets are consistently achieved
Financial Responsibilities
- Track and manage monthly turnover and performance
- Ensure timely invoicing of completed works
- Maintain low work in progress (WIP) levels
- Approve supplier costs and manage budgets to protect margins
- Produce risk assessments and ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274
- Experience in Legionella / water hygiene operations
- Proven team management experience
- Background in managing PPM contracts and KPIs
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem solving skills
