Job Description Structural Engineer £100,000–£120,000 + | Hybrid | Southend | Permanent Our client is launching a brand new structural engineering division within its fast-growing, design-led property and architecture group, and this is your opportunity to be there from day one, taking a key role in establishing and growing the new function. With an immediate project pipeline, genuine autonomy and the backing of an established architectural practice, you'll have the freedom to influence how the service operates, from technical standards and workflows through to pricing, delivery and future team growth. It's an opportunity for an ambitious Structural Engineer to have a level of ownership, influence and career progression that simply isn't available in a typical delivery-focused role. You could ultimately become Head of Structural Engineering. You'll have the opportunity to build the function, influence its direction, develop the team and play a key role in growing the structural engineering business. If you're ambitious, commercially minded and ready to move beyond simply delivering projects, this is the bit you should pay attention to. You'll work directly with architects, clients and contractors on live residential, commercial and mixed-use projects from day one. You'll help shape Workflows and quality systems Project delivery The growth strategy for the structural engineering division You'll lead structural design and delivery across a variety of live projects, including: Managing multiple projects simultaneously Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants Establishing technical systems and quality standards Supporting the development of the structural engineering service We're looking for an experienced Structural Engineer who wants ownership, influence and progression.
