We are seeking a meticulous and organised Accounts Clerk to support our clients busy finance team. This role is suited for a candidate with prior experience in accounting or administrative tasks who is wanting to expand on their knowledge within the accounting sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download and distribute bank transactions efficiently.
- Post cash transactions to the sales ledger accurately.
- Prepare and manage financial statements.
- Generate ad-hoc sales invoices when required.
- Process purchase ledger invoices promptly.
- Handle direct debit postings and reconcile statements.
- Post payments and ensure timely record-keeping.
- Execute bank transfers and payments.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering department telephone calls, ordering stationery, and filing.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, Sage 50.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
The Package:
- Salary £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience
- Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (30 mins lunch)
- Free on-site parking
- 28 days annual leave
- 4 times death in service
- Company Pension Scheme above that of Statutory requirements
