The Contracts Logistics Operator will support the day-to-day operational requirements of Contract Logistics customers, ensuring all warehouse and logistics activities are completed efficiently, accurately and to agreed customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily warehouse operations for Contract Logistics customers, including:
- Goods receipt and put-away
- Order processing
- Picking and packing
- Dispatch and shipment preparation
- Stock movements and inventory checks
- Follow instructions and operational requirements provided by the Warehouse Manager and/or customers through verbal communication, email and approved systems.
- Manage the receipt, cleaning, preparation, storage and put-away of returned laptops, ensuring equipment is handled accurately and securely.
- Provide customers with accurate daily operational updates by maintaining their systems and recording completed tasks in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure customer orders, goods receipts and dispatches are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Complete stock adjustments, stock movements and stock checks accurately using the CargoWise Warehouse Management System.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding:
- Returns
- Stock requirements
- Delivery and collection requirements
- Operational queries or issues
- Identify and escalate operational issues, delays or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager or relevant management team.
- Coordinate with couriers, the Transport Team and customers to ensure collections and deliveries are completed within agreed timescales.
- Arrange shipments through the internal Transport Team or approved subcontractors in line with customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues, management, drivers and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support driver arrivals and collections, ensuring goods and documentation are prepared accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, security and general warehouse organisation.
- Follow all company policies, warehouse procedures and customer-specific processes.

- Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and warehouse/logistics systems.
- Experience using CargoWise or a similar warehouse/logistics management system would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced operational environment.
