Our OneSubsea Graduate Engineers are our future technical leaders and managers. The programme provides opportunities for our candidates to develop skills and product knowledge, including leadership, customer interaction and the delivery of all aspects of the Engineering scope of supply to meet our high internal standards. Our Graduate Engineers can also work towards professional membership with a recognised professional body. At the end of the 18-month graduate programme, our engineers can use our well-established career ladders and development programmes to further enhance their progression through the organisation. Your success will reward you with a lasting career as an expert working at the forefront of technological innovation.
Our 18-month development programmes are split into 3 modules including engineering discipline specific and cross functional rotations. After an initial period of onboarding, our Graduate Engineers will embark on rotations consisting of two 6-month rotations across different Engineering Business Lines, 3 months will be spent at a manufacturing/re-manufacturing location, and 3 months in a cross functional rotation in Project Management, Sales and Tendering or Field Service.
Based at our modern offices on the outskirts of Leeds, you will learn the business from the ground up to become a skilled and confident specialist in the sector. We offer a hybrid working pattern allowing you to benefit from working in the office and the flexibility of some time working from home. During the initial training period you will be required to be in the office for most of your working week.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing engineering documentation which meet relevant industry and client standards to enable the product and service delivery of the Company's product(s).
- Carrying out design and development work under the guidance of experienced engineers to meet customers' and/or the industry's needs.
- Working within stated procedures to ensure that design and service records/controls are maintained.
- Developing in depth knowledge of our company products, design principles, industry standards, manufacturing techniques and field operations to support delivery of economic, reliable and safe designs.
- Participating in Value Engineering/Analysis initiatives.
- Provide technical support to other disciplines including input to risk assessments and problem solving.
Qualification/Entry Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (other closely related Engineering degrees considered).
- Be globally mobile.
- The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high value, technically complex products/projects.
- The right to work in the UK.
