Position Summary:
- TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) is seeking Category 3 Inspection Engineers to support pressure equipment inspection activities across the UK, including the Northwest, Northeast, Humberside, and Southern regions.
- The Inspector (CAT 3) Pressure Equipment is responsible for inspecting pressurised static equipment, including vessels, tanks, piping, and relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements. The role supports the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of engineering assets throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect pressurised static equipment, including vessels, tanks, piping, and relief devices.
- Perform inspection activities in accordance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and pressure equipment.
- Apply knowledge and appreciation of non-destructive examination (NDT) techniques.
- Support inspection activities within chemical and/or oil and gas environments.
- Meet required deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Work independently while maintaining effective interpersonal relationships.
- Contribute to inspection activities associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Training or qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Mechanical engineering background.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical technician.
- Experience in the chemical and/or oil and gas sectors.
- Engineering Technician status is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge of pressure equipment.
- Experience or appreciation of NDT techniques.
- EEMUA, API, and/or NDT qualification or experience.
- UKAS Category 3 Requirement
Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for Category 3 Inspection Engineers. This includes:
- Engineering Technician status as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.
- Appropriate ONC with relevant experience or NVQ Level III may be considered as equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a relevant discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.

Requirements:
- Ability to work across the UK in the Northwest, Northeast, Humberside, and Southern regions.
- Availability for standard Monday-to-Friday working hours, 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work in office, client-site, and home-based environments under the available hybrid working arrangement.
