Our client is a family owned and managed business that provides sales, service and parts support for AGCO derived products. They are looking for an experienced service manager to oversee the department and work out of their premises in Fauld, Burton Upon Trent. The aftersales teams' challenge will be to deliver the best customer care and enable them to grow.
Role
- Communication partner for customers
- Manage a team of technicians overseeing the department
- Handle warranty claims using SAP and discuss them with dealers and/or end‑users
- Investigate design/quality problems and produce detailed written reports
- Provide technical training to technicians
- Set up internal working flows
- Advise on A/S administration issues, warranty terms and service policy
- Work closely with the Aftersales team
Requirements
- Excellent experience as a service manager with strong man‑management and leadership skills, ideally gained in heavy machinery or agricultural equipment
- Good knowledge of standard software applications: SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong background in hydraulics, electrics, engines, troubleshooting and software
- Excellent communication skills and client relationship management ability
- Experience in Agricultural Equipment or Heavy Machinery product support is an advantage
