Overview
OneSpaWorld is a worldwide provider of beauty, wellness, and spa services on cruise ships and on land. We are looking to hire licensed acupuncturists to work in our on‑board spas.
Position Summary
An Acupuncturist administers high‑quality acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments to passengers, communicating modalities and providing wellness solutions. The role includes managing multiple treatment rooms, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to the spa team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct patient consultations and provide acupuncture treatments.
Manage multiple treatment rooms simultaneously.
Conduct initial consultations in under 20 minutes.
Offer 10‑minute consultations on acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
Publicly speak about Traditional Chinese Medicine topics.
Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
Maintain inventory and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Provide outstanding guest service and follow‑up after treatment.
Be punctual and manage appointments efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
United States acupuncturists must hold a current valid state license and/or be certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Acupuncturists educated outside the United States must have graduated from a program that is educationally equivalent to a U.S. program, with approximately 2,000 hours of classroom and clinical study.
Minimum of 2,000 clinical hours.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
Ability to work in a sales‑oriented environment (training provided).
Team player with a friendly, outgoing personality.
Basic computer knowledge.
Fluency in English.
Comfortable managing multiple clients and rooms.
Pre‑requisites for Contracts
U.S. citizens must have a valid passport valid at least six months beyond contract end.
Non‑U.S. workers must be eligible for a U.S. C1/D transit visa.
Completion of a maritime medical exam and declared fit to work.
Successful completion of the required training course.
