Summary
The Payroll Specialist II will be responsible for providing full end-to-end payroll processing support for OSV’s Managed Payroll customers. This remote position manages multiple customers with various deadlines in a fast-paced environment. It supports specific managed customers and all OSV customers across all service levels as needed. Responsibilities include day-to-day payroll support, Workday payroll configuration, and year-end processing.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Specialist for Managed Payroll and Payroll Administrative customers; support other OSV payroll, tax, and garnishment customers as needed.
- Manage and respond to cases daily to meet service level agreements and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Handle escalated cases from payroll team and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve customer issues promptly, perform Root Cause Analysis, and implement solutions.
- Lead client calls weekly, monthly, and quarterly; participate in new client transitions and other service calls.
- Configure Workday pay components, deductions, run categories, and support year-end processes and special projects.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit reports and provide recommendations.
- Meet quality and productivity metrics.
- Collaborate with peers and customer teams to support and resolve requests.
- Work effectively in a team environment, open to new ideas and procedures.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
- Maintain organizational skills, multi-task, and support multiple customers accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll experience with end-to-end processing, research, and troubleshooting.
- 3+ years of customer experience or equivalent skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of payroll taxes, configuration, and compliance.
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional tax, year-end, W-2 support, and adjustments.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in outsourcing environments—payroll, tax, Workday, Salesforce.
