We have a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Program Manager to join the team on a full time, two-year fixed term basis. This role is remote working with regular travel.

As the Construction Program Manager, you will play a key role in driving and delivering the Campus Modernisation Programme across the UK region. Reporting directly into the Regional Director of Operations, you will display strong leadership skills, be qualified and have a proven background in the building industry for delivering a range of high value multi-disciplined projects against strategic objectives. Your leadership style and relationship building will improve project governance and productivity, whilst enhancing innovative thinking and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or 5+ years’ experience in a Programme Manager role.
  • Management qualification such as Prince2.
  • Proven experience operating efficiently, proactively and relatively autonomously in a busy, hands-on role.
  • Proven experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Develop a ‘One Team’ culture both within the Operation team and wider UK business.
  • Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.

Key responsibilities

  • You will strategically plan, schedule, and lead multiple construction projects across the UK portfolio, ensuring all projects within the programme are completed on time and within budget.
  • You will lead the construction project lifecycles from initial idea through to successful completion, setting out clear project methodologies and governance that embeds a structured approach with standardisation.
  • You will implement an agile change management process that tracks change requests, approvals, and their impact through the program lifecycle.

Compliance & Risk

  • You will implement detailed construction strategies through a critical path that ensures the business is fully compliant to all UK regulations and laws.
  • You will implement a robust quality control and continuous improvements process that guarantees all contractual agreements meet the required design standards, specifications and corrective actions are taken to address nonconformities.
  • You will proactively identify potential risks and issues, with mitigation strategies in place that address them.

Cost Control

  • You will monitor and manage project expenses to ensure they are aligned with the approved budget allocations.
  • You will identify, analyse and provide insights to cost variations, with corrective actions for overruns or understands.
