We have the opportunity for a Primary Specialist Teacher to join our Northwich team on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • The Specialist Teacher will be responsible to plan, deliver and evaluate a highly personalised curriculum for a small group of pupils (Year 3–6) with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who are working at EYFS levels.
  • The role involves leading provision within a specialist hub, while also supporting inclusion through targeted teaching within mainstream classrooms and the learning centre.
  • The Specialist Teacher will ensure that all pupils access a meaningful, developmentally appropriate education that supports their communication, cognition, social-emotional development and independence, enabling them to engage as fully as possible in school life.
  • The role also includes leading and delivering professional development to build staff capacity in meeting the needs of pupils with SEND across the school.
