Our Salisbury team is looking for a Specialist Learning Support Teacher to join them on a full time, permanent basis. In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting and supporting individual pupils on the SEND register by planning and preparing lessons, assessing pupil progress and next steps.
- Supporting students on the SEND register as required, including those with EHCPs.

About You:
- Extensive experience working with children with Downs Syndrome.
- Experience working with children in Key Stage 2.
- Experience working with children with communication and interaction difficulties.
- Fluency in Makaton or sign-a-long.
- Knowledge of effective strategies which aid children with communication and interaction difficulties.
- Understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils.
- Interest in how children learn and behave.
- Ability to provide appropriate role models of behaviour both in the classroom and around school.
- Care about children, particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult.
