OneSchool Global UK Biggleswade Campus is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to support our Science Department. The Role

As Laboratory Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to the Science Department, ensuring lessons are prepared effectively and laboratories operate safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for science practicals
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
  • Ensuring laboratories comply with health and safety regulations
  • Conducting regular safety checks and risk assessments where required
  • Managing stock levels and ordering laboratory supplies
  • Safely storing and disposing of chemicals and equipment in line with regulations
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical activities where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records of equipment, inventory, and safety procedures
  • Assisting with the development of engaging practical learning experiences

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working in a laboratory, educational setting, or similar technical role
  • Has a good understanding of laboratory health and safety requirements
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Can manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Has a positive and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning

Experience within a school science laboratory would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
