About the team
The Capital Planning team leads first line capital planning activities designed to support the Bank in delivering on its financial strategy in BAU conditions and ensuring the Bank can survive plausible, severe macroeconomic and idiosyncratic stresses.
What you will be doing?
As the Stress Testing Manager, Capital Planning, you will lead the first line capital planning stress testing and scenario processes. You’ll also support the Group Head of Capital Planning and Financial Strategy with capital planning activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading first line stress testing activities including: ICAAP stress testing, Recovery and Restructuring Plan modelling, Resolvability Assessment Framework stress testing, Reverse stress testing, Going concern assessments, Any ad-hoc stress testing.
- Supporting the financial planning process through running scenarios involving changes to key assumptions including lending volumes, retention volumes, shareholder distributions and debt issuances.
- Maintaining an up-to-date stress testing plan driving forward enhancements to the Group’s stress testing activities and implement a BAU stress testing calendar.
- Leading capital planning contributions to Capital Markets activity such as producing scenarios for applications relating to issuances and share distributions.
- Co-ordinating the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) including document production, coordinating the inputs from across the Risk team and the wider Group functions and ensuring robust governance practices are followed.
- Contributing to the Recovery Plan process including document production, coordinating the inputs from across the Risk and Finance teams and the wider Group functions and ensuring robust governance practices are followed.
- Supporting production of the Capital Plan element of the Group Capital Strategy and Plan document.
- Contributing to the Solvency Forum including planning of meetings and setting an agenda to drive the on-going oversight of solvency risk.
- Supporting the Capital Planning Working Group including planning of meetings and production of MI covering capital scenarios.
- Providing support to the capital and stress testing elements of Anaplan implementation.
