We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Store Manager to lead our Costa Coffee team inside St Richard’s Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to run a fast-paced retail coffee outlet while delivering the high standards Compass Group and Costa Coffee are known for.
What You’ll Do
As Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth, safe and profitable running of the unit. You’ll lead by example, ensuring exceptional customer service, strong operational standards, and a great team culture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operational & Safety Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the store in line with Compass Group standards.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory, food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Identify and address HSE issues promptly, escalating where necessary.
- Provide clear training, guidance and supervision to keep the team safe and working effectively.
- People Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver fantastic service and great-tasting coffee.
- Make sure every team member has the skills and training they need to succeed.
- Maintain high standards across all shifts, supporting and coaching Assistant Managers and Supervisors.
- Conduct investigations, disciplinaries and performance conversations in line with company policy.
- Customer & Client Experience
- Deliver unbeatable customer service for patients, visitors and staff across the hospital.
- Ensure brand standards are consistently met, including promotions, product quality and store presentation.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with our hospital client, keeping your Regional Manager informed at all times.
- Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Manage labour, stock, ordering and waste to achieve KPI targets.
- Lead shifts, including opening and closing the store.
- Ensure retail areas are well-stocked, visually appealing, and sales opportunities are maximised.
- Review financial performance regularly, taking responsibility for the P&L and identifying opportunities to grow sales.
