The Digital Trade Team at Oner Active sits at the heart of our online growth strategy. We are responsible for driving commercial performance across our seven web shops, combining data insight, trading acumen, and customer understanding to deliver exceptional online experiences that convert. Working closely with marketing, merchandising, and web teams, we own the digital customer journey, from home page to checkout. Whether it's optimising conversion rates, launching campaigns, or analysing trading performance, we move fast, test constantly, and never stop looking for the next opportunity to drive growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially driven and highly organised Head of Digital Trade to lead the end‑to‑end online trading and merchandising strategy across our eCommerce platforms. This role is critical to the success of the business, with a strong focus on the planning, execution, and optimisation of approximately 25-30 collection launches per year, alongside the continuous trading and optimisation of always‑on collections. The successful candidate will own the digital customer journey, ensuring collections are launched seamlessly, product storytelling is elevated, and the online experience supports both brand positioning and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the strategy for daily trading and merchandising activities across all seven websites, ensuring products, collections, campaigns, and launches are accurately presented and aligned with commercial priorities.
- Lead the end‑to‑end execution of approximately 25-30 annual collection launches, ensuring all launches are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Oversee onsite merchandising strategy across the homepage, navigation, PLPs, search, recommendations, and promotional landing pages to maximise conversion and engagement.
- Drive product storytelling and category merchandising to ensure collections are presented in a premium and commercially effective way.
- React quickly to stock movements, trading priorities, and business needs by implementing same‑day merchandising and product updates where required.
- Conduct regular QA checks across website updates, pricing, promotions, launches, and customer journeys to ensure a seamless experience before go‑live.
- Own the eCommerce roadmap, defining and prioritising trading, merchandising, and platform initiatives aligned with commercial objectives and customer needs.
- Own and manage the A/B testing roadmap, driving continuous optimisation across customer journeys, onsite experience, conversion, and engagement.
- Lead and manage the Digital Trade team, setting priorities, driving performance, and ensuring efficient execution across daily trading operations and collection launches.
Product & Catalogue Management
- Oversee product onboarding processes by partnering with Merchandising and Brand teams to obtain accurate product data, imagery, and attributes.
- Manage and maintain product listings within Shopify Plus, ensuring all product information is accurate, consistent, and up to date.
- Utilise tools such as Algolia to optimise product collections, merchandising rules, search functionality, promotional categories, and seasonal campaigns.
- Ensure SKU structures, product categorisation, and catalogue management processes support scalability and operational efficiency.
Commercial Performance & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse trading performance, customer behaviour, conversion, and product performance to identify opportunities for growth.
- Export and analyse sales and trading data using BI and Microsoft Excel to support commercial decision‑making.
- Track KPIs including conversion, AOV, revenue, UPO, sessions and conversion.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Digital Trading, eCommerce Merchandising, or Online Trading roles within fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or retail environments.
- Strong experience managing high‑volume collection launches and fast‑paced trading calendars.
- Hands‑on experience with Shopify Plus and merchandising/search platforms such as Algolia.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Highly analytical with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
