Reports into: Senior Finance Manager

Contract Type: Full Time, working 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week

Location: Hybrid, working 3 days a week in our offices based in Old Street, London

Our Finance Team:

The Finance Team at Oner Active plays a vital role in supporting the business by providing financial insights and analysis to inform key stakeholder decisions. As a small, fast-paced team, we collaborate closely with all functions across the organisation. With the company's rapid growth over the past five years and the recent establishment of additional US entities and future retail expansion, we are now seeking an additional team member to assist the Senior Finance Manager in meeting increased reporting requirements.

About You:

You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in understanding the broader business. You're comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, and you're eager to grow within a rapidly expanding company.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Month-end & management reporting
  • Support with month-end close process ownership
  • Support with consolidated management accounts and variance analysis
  • Maintain the group fixed asset register and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all entities
  • Inventory valuation and stock provisioning (obsolescence, slow-moving/aged stock write-downs)
  • Manage monthly intercompany reconciliations across the group's UK, US and European entities, including resolution of mismatches and FX-related differences
  • Support the ongoing rollout and maintenance of the group's transfer pricing model, including preparation of supporting documentation and journal entries
  • Assist with cross-entity compliance matters, including liaison with local advisors on overseas statutory filings
  • Own and maintain clearing account tracking (e.g. goods in transit, supplier deposits) across all group entities, ensuring timely clearing and accurate coding
  • Reconcile freight, duty and customs invoices against the nominal ledger, including multi-currency conversion where required
  • Support international tax filing compliance, including foreign-related-party disclosures
  • Support e-commerce revenue and payment gateway reconciliation across sales channels
  • Gift card liability and breakage accounting
  • Returns and refund provisioning
  • Support international indirect tax compliance across jurisdictions
  • Statutory accounts preparation and audit liaison
  • Support group-level cash flow reporting by providing accurate and timely data

You’ll need to have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g.ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS (or UK GAAP/US GAAP as relevant)
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. SUMIFS/SUMPRODUCT, pivot tables, lookups)
  • Experience preparing or contributing to statutory accounts and supporting external audits
  • Comfortable applying technical accounting judgement to new or ambiguous transactions
  • Experience working across multiple legal entities/jurisdictions, including intercompany accounting
  • Proficient in a modern ERP system (e.g. NetSuite, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with external stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
