About You
As Operations Systems Engineer at Oner Active, you will shape how our technology stack runs as we scale to a £500m global omnichannel brand. You will own the day to day health, automation, and documentation of our core operational systems. That includes NetSuite ERP, Shopify (B2C), Teamwork Commerce (POS), eCom360 (Proprietary Middleware), 3PL and WMS integrations, and Narvar for returns.
The role is built around three principles:
- Automate anything that should not need a human.
- Document everything so both people and AI agents can use it.
- Be the bridge between our operational teams and our external technical partners.
As we open our US Distribution Centre, launch US retail, and complete the NetSuite ERP implementation, you will own end to end testing of new features and integration health across the stack. Once stable, you will keep finding ways to remove friction and unlock the teams that use these tools every day.
What we are looking for
- You will be the internal subject matter expert for workflows that touch NetSuite, Shopify, Teamwork, the 3PL, or eCom360.
- You will act as the translator between non-technical teams (Merchandising, Ops, Finance, Digital, Retail) in the UK and our external technical partners.
- You will own automation as a discipline, not as a side project.
- You will use AI as a daily tool.
- You will manage end to end testing (SIT and UAT) of new features.
- You will build and maintain a modern knowledge base.
- You will configure systems natively where possible.
- You will provide data and reporting support to Finance and Merchandising.
What you will need
- 3 to 5 years in a Tech, Systems, or Internal Tools role at a high-growth e-commerce or DTC business.
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify, NetSuite ERP, POS and 3PL integrations.
- Experience with middleware or integration platforms.
- Demonstrable AI fluency.
- Hands-on experience building automations in n8n, Make, Zapier, or equivalent.
- A bias to build.
- Experience producing AI-queryable documentation and modern knowledge bases.
- Ability to give clear and regular updates to leadership.
- Confident writing technical specifications.
- Experience supporting complex project delivery.
- Confident as an internal trainer.
Responsibilities
- Business analysis, requirement definition, and technical scoping for new operational requests.
- Defining operational process flows and mapping data flows across Shopify, eCom360, NetSuite, 3PL, and Teamwork.
- Writing technical specifications and managing the brief between third party partners and internal stakeholders.
- Owning the automation roadmap.
- Designing and maintaining the AI-queryable knowledge base.
- System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for major rollouts.
- Cutover and go-live management.
- Post go-live hypercare and integration health monitoring.
- Native system configuration in NetSuite, Shopify, Teamwork, and the PIM.
- Internal training and onboarding.
