About You
We are looking for a Head of Social to define and drive the strategic evolution of Oner Active’s social ecosystem. Social has been the engine of our growth as a brand. As we scale, we need a leader who can formalise that engine, setting clear platform strategy, growth tactics, performance governance and long‑term direction.
This role sits within the Growth function and is responsible for social strategy, analytics, commercial impact and platform expansion. You will work in close partnership with the Head of Creative, who leads the creative and social content teams, ensuring that brand‑first creative excellence is powered by clear strategic direction and performance insight.
You are commercially sharp, data fluent and deeply knowledgeable about platform behaviour. You have a deep appreciation for how social drives both brand and growth and you know how to build frameworks that scale.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Define and own the long‑term social media strategy across all platforms.
- Establish clear platform roles, growth priorities and audience objectives.
- Build quarterly plans aligned to brand and commercial goals.
- Identify emerging platforms and expansion opportunities.
- Ensure social strategy evolves in response to cultural shifts and platform developments.
Cultural & Brand Storytelling Leadership
- Help shape how Oner shows up culturally across social platforms.
- Translate brand strategy into compelling social narratives and ongoing storytelling.
- Identify opportunities to lead conversations within women’s strength training and performance culture.
- Work closely with Brand and Creative teams to build social‑first brand moments and community‑led storytelling.
- Ensure Oner’s voice remains distinctive, authentic and culturally relevant as the brand scales.
Analytics, Insight & Performance Governance
- Own social performance measurement across growth, engagement and commercial contribution.
- Work closely with the Social Media Analyst to translate data into actionable strategic decisions.
- Identify which formats, campaigns and drops drive measurable revenue impact.
- Develop structured reporting frameworks for Directors, highlighting performance trends and growth opportunities.
- Use insight to inform tactics and priorities.
Growth and Commercial Impact
- Set and own KPIs for follower growth, engagement rate, and audience health.
- Partner closely with marketing channels to align organic and paid amplification strategies.
- Ensure social contributes meaningfully to product launches, brand moments and always on activity.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen conversion pathways from social platforms.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Work in close partnership with the Head of Creative to ensure strategy and creative execution remain aligned.
- Provide the Social Content team with clear strategic direction, priorities and performance context.
- Act as the bridge between Growth and Brand, ensuring commercial objectives and brand storytelling are aligned.
- Represent Social at leadership level across cross‑functional planning forums.
Governance and Risk Management
- Establish clear frameworks for social governance, escalation and decision‑making.
- Partner with senior leadership on crisis management strategy where required.
- Ensure platform policies, tone and brand positioning are protected.
You’ll Need To Have
- Proven experience (5+ years) in leading social media for a brand with a strong community focus, preferably in activewear, fitness, or lifestyle industries.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Creative and strategic mindset, with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a high‑performing team.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable with data, insights, and performance‑driven decision‑making.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passion for fitness, strength training, and women’s empowerment is a plus.
- Experience with influencer marketing, user‑generated content, and brand collaborations.
