About You
As our Freelance Visual Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of our first retail store. This is a strategic and hands-on role that will involve concept development, layout planning, fixture recommendations, and seasonal visual updates—ensuring our store communicates the brand\\\'s DNA while driving customer engagement and sales.
Responsibilities
- Working with our brand, project management, and marketing teams to design visual merchandising concepts aligned with our brand identity
- Developing floor plans, fixture layouts, and visual merchandising guides for the new store
- Creating window and in-store display mockups and planograms
- Sourcing or advising on mannequins, display props, signage, and visual assets
- Providing recommendations on in-store flow and customer experience enhancements
- Supporting seasonal refreshes and product drops with updated visual strategies
- Ensuring visual consistency across all product categories and brand touchpoints
- Offering on-site support during store setup and launch phases (if local or travelable)
You\'ll need to have
- 10+ years of visual merchandising experience in retail fashion or lifestyle brands; athleisure or activewear a strong plus
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous retail and display work
- Proficiency in spatial planning tools (SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or similar)
- Strong sense of style, color theory, and brand storytelling
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across creative and operations teams
- Flexibility to work in-person for key milestones (store walkthroughs, installation, etc.)
