Zeal Driving Solutions are currently recruiting for 5 HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client in Swadlincote. Our client has a head office in Tamworth but is supporting a large logistics business in Swadlincote, Mercia Park. The role includes driving to site to pick up the truck and completing between 16-18 drops, depending on how local you are. The truck will be loaded in order of deliveries for you; you just need to use a scanner and pump truck upon delivery. The client does take NEW PASSES!

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations.
  • Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit and comply with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling.
