Zeal Driving Solutions are currently recruiting for 5 HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client in Swadlincote. Our client have a head office in Tamworth but are supporting a large logistics business in Swadlincote, Mercia Park. The role includes driving to site to pick up the truck and completing between 16-18 drops, depending on how local you are. The truck will be loaded in order of deliveries for you, you just need to use a scanner and pump truck upon delivery. The client do take NEW PASSES!
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit and comply with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
