Vehicle Technician in Hinckley

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and every third Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Overtime paid at time and a half)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic servicing team in Hinckley. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. This is a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet and directly contributes to customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during servicing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance or time-served experience is essential.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• A relevant qualification in automotive technology or engineering is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
