Zeal Driving Solutions are currently recruiting for 5 HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client in Tamworth. Our client has a head office in Tamworth and a fleet at a large logistics business in Swadlincote, Mercia Park.
The role includes driving to site to pick up the truck and completing between 4-8 drops depending on how local you are. The truck will be loaded in order of deliveries for you; you just need to use a scanner and pump truck upon delivery.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling.
A Valid CPC and Digi Tacho is required. The hours of work are 06.00-16.00/18.00 (10-12 hours per day). The pay rate is £18 per hour. PAYE or Self Employed Drivers Welcome! This is starting ASAP; please apply or call 07723292733 if you're interested!
