Peterson Freight Management Ltd (PFML) is looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in logistics while gaining hands‑on experience across two warehouse operations: PFML & 8020. The role will operate on a rotational basis as directed by the Warehouse Manager. As part of this apprenticeship, you will also play a key role in supporting an upcoming warehouse relocation and integration project, giving you valuable exposure to operational planning, stock transfers, facility setup, and systems integration. This apprenticeship provides a structured development pathway and includes the opportunity to achieve an SVQ in Logistics Operations.
Key Responsibilities – Warehouse Operations
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Maintain accurate inventory and support routine stock counts
- Operate warehouse equipment under supervision (training provided)
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all company health and safety policies
- Provide day‑to‑day support to team members and management
Key Responsibilities – Warehouse Relocation & Integration Project
- Assist with planning and preparation activities for the warehouse move
- Support the transfer, organisation, and reconciliation of stock
- Contribute to warehouse layout setup and workspace organisation
- Help integrate processes and workflows into the new facility
- Work to minimise operational disruption during the transition
- Provide observations and feedback to support continuous improvement
