A vacancy has arisen for a Base/Plant Operative in Shetland. The role will support operations at Greenhead Base and other Peterson and client sites throughout Shetland as required. Duties will include:
- Carrying out slinger/banksman duties and/or operating plant
- Conducting pre-use inspections of equipment
- Loading and unloading vessels
- General yard/quayside duties
The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills. They should also strive to provide excellent customer service and have a strong commitment to health and safety.
The successful candidates should have previous knowledge and experience in a similar role. Preferred qualifications include a Banksman/Slinger OPITO or NPORS Certificate. Certifications in Plant, Forklift RTITB or NPORS, Telehandler, Truck, HIAB, and plant experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided to the right applicant.
