We currently have a vacancy for a Base Operative / Relief LGV Driver to support operations at our Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft facility.
We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a Base Operative with additional responsibilities to provide relief LGV driving cover as and when required.
This is a varied role that combines your core skills in quayside operations with the opportunity to support our logistics team during busy periods, holidays, or absence cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of vessels, trailers, and containers ensuring that all safety critical checks are completed.
- Checking materials and maintaining yard and warehouse cleanliness.
- Provide LGV Class 2 driving cover when required, including local and regional deliveries.
- Ensure all transport and site safety standards are maintained.
- Complete vehicle checks, delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Applicants will have experience of operating a forklift up to 12 tonne and working in a similar role. Banksman/Slinger certificate is also highly desirable.

- Previous knowledge and experience of loading and unloading vessels.
- A strong commitment to health and safety and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Forklift license up to 12 ton.
- Valid Driver’s CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
