At OneMedical Group, we are looking for two experienced andmotivated Service Coordinators to support the smooth day-to-day running of ourprimary care services in Milton Keynes.

One Service Coordinator will oversee Whitehouse Surgery andNeath Hill Health Centre, while the second will be based at Brooklands HealthCentre. Each role is full-time at 40 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Business Manager, you will coordinate operational and administrative activity across your service, including clinical rotas, room allocation, workforce administration and the day-to-day leadership of the non-clinical team.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who understands primary care, builds positive working relationships and can balance competing priorities while maintaining a professional, patient-focused service.

Job responsibilities

  • Service Coordination: Coordinating thesmooth day-to-day running of the service and responding to operationalpriorities as they arise.
  • Rotas & Cover: Managing clinicalrotas to minimise gaps in cover, coordinating locum bookings and keepingrelevant HR systems up to date.
  • Locum Support: Providing locums with anappropriate information pack and an introduction to the service.
  • People Leadership: Providing guidance,support and day-to-day leadership to the non-clinical team, including PatientNavigators.
  • Employee Development: Supportinginductions, appraisals, one-to-ones, probationary reviews and training plans,and coordinating the onboarding and training of new administrative colleagues.
  • Workforce Administration: Maintainingsickness records, escalating concerns appropriately, managing payrollsubmissions and keeping leave and absence information accurate.
  • Leave & Employee Relations: Overseeingannual leave approvals to maintain appropriate cover and supporting employeerelations matters, including sickness, performance and disciplinary issues.
  • Systems Access: Ensuring employees andlocums have the appropriate IT access for clinical and non-clinical systems.
  • Rooms & Resources: Managing clinicalroom rentals and allocations, monitoring petty cash, raising purchase ordersand maintaining stationery supplies in line with internal processes.
  • Collaborative Working: Working closelywith managers and support functions, including People and Recruitment, tomaintain efficient operational and administrative processes.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Previous experience working in primary care.
  • Previous team leader or supervisory experience.

Knowledge and skills

  • An understanding of primary care operations and the external factors that can influence service delivery.
  • The ability to manage senior administrative tasks, including workforce-related administration.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to prioritise a varied workload and remain calm in a busy, changing environment.
  • A collaborative and supportive approach to working with colleagues, managers and wider support teams.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records across different systems.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent, patient-focused service.
