Main Purpose of Job: The Sales Development Executive plays a key role in supporting the NI Direct Sales team by proactively generating, qualifying, and reactivating sales opportunities. Working closely with the field sales team, this role focuses on identifying sales-ready opportunities and ensuring high-quality handover to reps allowing field sales to spend more time selling and less time prospecting. This role does not carry personal account ownership or order-processing responsibility.
Key Tasks:
- Opportunity Generation & Qualification
- Proactively identify and engage new sales opportunities through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, and digital outreach
- Qualify inbound enquiries to agreed criteria before handover to field sales
- Book qualified appointments and discovery calls for the NI sales team
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, events, and inbound activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including notes, lead status, and activity tracking
- Ensure smooth and timely handover of qualified opportunities to field reps
- Provide regular activity and pipeline reports to the Sales Manager
- Share market feedback, competitor activity, and customer insights with the wider sales team

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, professional phone manner

- Experience working in a KPI-driven environment
