Report to: Social Media Marketing Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute creative social media and ecommerce campaigns to support product launches, promotions, kit launches and key trading periods, with a focus on driving online traffic and sales.
  • Manage the social media content calendar, ensuring all planned content, campaigns and product launches are delivered on-brand, on-trend and on time.
  • Manage and create content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X (Twitter), including scheduling, publishing and community engagement.
  • Generate creative, commercially focused campaign ideas that showcase products effectively and support wider ecommerce sales objectives.
  • Plan and support content days and product shoots, including coordinating requirements, filming, photography and capturing engaging social-first content.
  • Create and edit short-form video and imagery for social and digital channels, including Reels, TikToks, Stories and YouTube Shorts.
  • Support post-production requirements, including selecting, resizing, editing and branding imagery and video assets for use across ecommerce and social media.
  • Write engaging and on-brand social captions, campaign copy, product messaging and blog content, adapting the tone and format for different platforms and audiences.
  • Support paid social campaigns, create engaging ad copy and creative assets and identify opportunities to utilise high-performing organic content within paid activity.
  • Assist with influencer and creator marketing, including coordinating content, product requirements and deliverables to ensure activity aligns with campaign and brand objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to utilise user-generated content, customer reviews and testimonials across social media and ecommerce campaigns.
  • Monitor social media trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity, proactively identifying opportunities for the brand to create relevant and engaging content.
  • Monitor and report on social media performance using Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite and platform analytics, producing weekly reports and campaign-specific insights.
  • Analyse campaign performance to understand which content, products and creative approaches are driving engagement, website traffic and ecommerce sales, using these insights to inform future activity.
  • Support the implementation and management of UTM tracking across social campaigns to improve measurement of traffic and campaign performance.
  • Support wider Ecommerce and Marketing projects, including product launches, seasonal campaigns and other commercial initiatives.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues across departments and uphold ONeills brand values and visual identity across all social media and digital activity.

Person Specification

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate that they can meet the following essential requirements. An ability to meet the desirable requirements will also be advantageous.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working within social media, ecommerce, digital marketing, content creation or a similar role.
  • Experience developing or supporting ecommerce campaigns, product launches or sales-led promotions.
  • A strong understanding of how social media can be used to drive website traffic, product discovery and ecommerce sales.
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X (Twitter) and an understanding of the different content requirements for each platform.
  • Creative and commercially minded, with the ability to turn products, promotions and commercial briefs into engaging social-first campaign ideas.
  • Experience creating short-form video content, including filming and editing.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging social captions and campaign messaging.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing content calendars, multiple campaigns and competing deadlines.
  • A strong eye for visual content and excellent attention to detail.
  • An understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting, with the ability to use insights to improve future activity.
  • Ability to work proactively and bring new ideas and creative concepts to the team.
  • Able to perform calmly under pressure and prioritise conflicting tasks to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully IT literate, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A genuine interest in social media, ecommerce, content creation and visual storytelling.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience within an ecommerce-focused social media or digital marketing role.
  • Experience developing campaigns specifically designed to drive online sales and conversions.
  • Experience using Meta Business Suite and Sprout Social.
  • Experience supporting or creating assets for paid social advertising.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators or user-generated content.
  • Photography, videography and/or video-editing experience.
  • Experience using UTM tracking and ecommerce analytics to measure campaign performance.
  • Experience working within sports, fashion, retail or a product-led consumer brand.
  • Experience supporting product or campaign photoshoots.
  • An understanding of current social commerce and ecommerce trends.

Based: Strabane

Hours: 39-hour in office arrangement, with flexible hours. (However, we also require flexibility to accommodate key sporting events and fixtures.)
