We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join a main construction contractor on a busy project in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Manage all site activities and scope applicable to the logistics package.
- Lead and manage the logistics team, including telehandler operators, hoist operators, general operatives, and gateman/traffic marshals.
- Ensure compliance with Fire, Traffic, and Health & Safety Management Plans.
- Chair weekly logistics meetings with Site Managers and the Supply Chain to ensure plans are communicated and coordinated.
- Maintain an accurate site diary detailing daily events, operations, operatives, plant and machinery, issues, and weather conditions.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained on and around site.
- Ensure sufficient waste receptacles are in place for use by the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager with a main construction contractor.
- SMSTS certification.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- First Aid certification.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication, supervision, and management skills.
