We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Document Controller for a long-term contract opportunity based in the Wolverhampton area, working within a Tier 1 main contractor environment on major live project delivery. This is a stable, long-term assignment within a high-performing project team, supporting a range of complex construction works.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing all project documentation across multiple live construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and full version control throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, and site teams to maintain efficient document control processes and support overall project delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry
  • Experience working within Tier 1 or major contractor environments is preferred
  • Strong understanding of document control processes on live construction projects
  • Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Familiarity with Autodesk systems such as Autodesk Forma, or previous experience with BIM 360 or similar platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines

Working Arrangement

  • 4 days per week office-based in Wolverhampton
  • 1 day per week remote working
  • Long-term freelance contract with potential for extension
