Due to continued growth and a strong order book, a highly respected regional contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £100 million is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of major construction projects across the Swindon region. This contractor has built an excellent reputation for delivering complex schemes across a variety of sectors and offers a stable, long-term career with genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of construction projects from groundworks through to completion. Your duties will include:

  • Managing day-to-day site operations
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
  • Driving programme performance and project milestones
  • Maintaining the highest standards of quality, health and safety
  • Conducting site meetings and progress reviews
  • Managing site documentation and reporting
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager with a Tier 1, Tier 2 or established Regional Contractor
  • Track record of delivering projects valued at £10 million+
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes and health & safety legislation
  • SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain high standards throughout project delivery
