We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a specialist subcontractor delivering a major package of works on a flagship construction project in South Wales. The successful candidate will oversee engineering operations associated with a substantial reinforced concrete and concrete pad package valued in excess of £100 million, while managing a team of approximately 10 engineers on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering teams across multiple work fronts
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Ensure quality assurance and technical compliance throughout delivery
- Support planning and programme management activities
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams effectively
- Maintain accurate engineering records and reporting systems
- Promote best practice in health, safety, and technical delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Strong heavy construction, infrastructure, or civils engineering background
- Demonstrable reinforced concrete experience is essential
- Previous experience managing engineering teams on major projects
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large project environment
Essential Qualifications
- Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- Relevant engineering and setting out experience
