We are seeking a hands-on Site Manager to support the Project Manager in delivering the construction and civils phase of a £30m warehousing development. This permanent role combines leadership with practical, on-site involvement, making it ideal for an experienced industrial construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-value environment.

You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate trades and subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure the project runs on time and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive, problem-solving approach and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate trades and subcontractors while actively participating on-site
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work meets programme, budget, and quality targets
  • Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce H&S, environmental, and CDM compliance
  • Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, and resource allocation
  • Assist with programme tracking, progress reporting, and issue escalation
  • Maintain accurate site records: labour hours, deliveries, inspections, and incidents
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and suppliers to resolve challenges quickly
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Foreman on industrial projects £30m+
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, CDM regulations, and site safety standards
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification and valid CSCS card
  • Ability to lead teams effectively while being hands-on on site
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Package
