O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting on behalf of one of London's leading specialist subcontractors, who deliver façade, ceiling, drylining, and interior fit-out packages across some of the capital's most prestigious construction projects. Working with many of the UK's leading Tier 1 main contractors, our client has established an excellent reputation for quality, safety, and delivery. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join their expanding Health & Safety team.
This opportunity would suit someone with a background in construction who has recently completed their NEBOSH General Certificate and is looking to build a long-term career within health and safety.
The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will support the implementation and maintenance of health and safety standards across multiple projects throughout London. Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out regular site inspections and audits.
- Identifying hazards and supporting site teams in implementing corrective actions.
- Assisting with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
- Reviewing RAMS and health & safety documentation.
- Supporting site teams with health & safety compliance and best practice.
- Delivering toolbox talks and site safety briefings.
- Producing audit reports and monitoring actions through to completion.
- Promoting a positive health & safety culture across all projects.
- Liaising with site management, clients, and main contractors on health & safety matters.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (recently completed or currently completing).
- Previous experience working within the construction industry.
- Good understanding of construction site activities and associated risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
