We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a major industrial unit scheme based in Warwickshire. This is a part-time freelance role, requiring 1-3 days per week, offering flexibility alongside a high-profile project.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale industrial or commercial projects (£15m+)
- Strong background in steel frame construction or major industrial units (essential)
- Must have own software/tools to produce Bills of Quantities and commercial documentation
- Ability to manage cost control, procurement, valuations, and reporting independently
- Experience working within live construction environments
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) using own software
- Cost management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Subcontractor procurement and package management
- Valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Supporting the project team with commercial decision-making
