A leading developer-contractor is seeking an experienced Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship mixed-use scheme in Central North London. The project comprises 600 residential units and commercial office space and is currently in the early stages of construction. Our client is open to candidates joining on either a contract or permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Project QS looking to take the next step in their career or a Senior QS keen to join a growing team and gain experience on a major, high-profile scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial and cost-related aspects of the project
- Prepare cost plans, forecasts, and financial reports
- Lead procurement and contract administration
- Manage subcontractor packages through to final account
- Identify commercial risks and advise on mitigation strategies
- Support commercial governance and reporting processes
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the commercial team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project or Senior QS on large-scale residential, mixed-use, or commercial projects
- Experience across the full project lifecycle
- Ability to manage complex packages and high-value scopes
- Strong commercial awareness, communication, and leadership skills
- Background with a main contractor or developer preferred
- Open to candidates seeking permanent or freelance opportunities
