An established and highly respected construction business is looking to appoint an experienced

Commercial Assistant to support its growing Commercial Team across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout South Wales and the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous commercial administration experience within the construction industry who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their career within a business that genuinely invests in its people.

Working alongside Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial function from subcontract procurement through to payment administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Commercial Team with the day-to-day administration of multiple construction projects.
  • Manage subcontractor onboarding and ensure all compliance documentation is completed.
  • Prepare and administer subcontract documentation and authorisations.
  • Assist with subcontract payment applications and the Goods Received Note (GRN) process.
  • Raise consultancy and minor works orders.
  • Issue and monitor subcontract tender enquiries.
  • Prepare tender analysis and settlement documentation.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers throughout the project lifecycle.

We\'re keen to speak with individuals who already have experience supporting commercial teams within the construction sector and who are confident working in a busy project environment.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working within a Commercial Team in the construction industry.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using CONNECT Software
  • Candidates with previous

CONNECT Software experience will be viewed particularly favourably, as this will allow them to make an immediate impact within the commercial team.

Experience with subcontract administration, procurement processes and commercial documentation would also be advantageous.
