A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Liaison Manager to support the delivery of a major project in Paddington. The role will be 2‑3 days per week through to the end of 2026, with the potential for an extension into 2027 and the opportunity to take on wider Logistics Manager responsibilities as the project progresses on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities on behalf of the project team
- Meet with stakeholders to communicate project plans, upcoming works, and address queries and concerns
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including NHS and healthcare representatives, commercial building owners and occupiers, Network Rail, Canal & River Trust, and Transport for London (TfL)
- Organise and facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and provide weekly project updates
- Produce, maintain, and distribute weekly stakeholder newsletters
- Work closely with the Project Lead and Construction Manager to ensure clear and consistent communication
- Maintain stakeholder engagement records, complaints logs, and correspondence registers
- Investigate complaints and concerns, developing and implementing appropriate action plans
- Monitor stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities to improve engagement and communication processes
- Support the project team in maintaining positive community and stakeholder relations throughout the project lifecycle
Experience
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, public liaison, or a similar role within construction, infrastructure, rail, healthcare, or major projects
- Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously
- Strong understanding of stakeholder management principles and community engagement best practice
- Experience dealing with complaints, issue resolution, and conflict management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to build trust and develop productive working relationships at all levels
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, public liaison, communications, or project management
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Experience working on construction, infrastructure, rail, healthcare, or public sector projects
- Membership of a relevant professional body
