This leading Tier 1 contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager to join the company to work on a contract basis for a minimum period of six months. The project is a new build residential development in Reading which will have a mix of houses and flats and will run for over five years across various phases of building. Your working week will be on site, the office in Berkshire and they offer one day working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of design across pre-construction and construction stages.
- Lead design workshops and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Review and manage design information for buildability, compliance, and value.
- Drive collaboration between design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support bid and tender submissions with design-related input and value engineering solutions.
- Monitor design programmes, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of information.
- Ensure all design works comply with statutory regulations, project requirements, and company standards.
As a Design Manager, you will have worked on major residential projects for recognised Tier 1 contractors or developers. You will have been a Design Manager for a minimum of five years and will have over ten years construction experience.
