We are seeking an Estimator to join a well-established civil engineering contractor based in the Midlands. The role involves supporting the preparation of competitive tenders across civil engineering and infrastructure-related works. You will work within an experienced commercial team, contributing to accurate and commercially sound pricing submissions. This is a Permanent opportunity offering development within a stable and supportive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender information
- Build up estimates from first principles where required
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Support value engineering and risk assessment during tender stage
- Liaise with commercial and operational teams
- Maintain and update cost data and estimating information
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Experience in estimating within civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Able to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation
- First-principles estimating knowledge desirable
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
