FLATBED DRIVER / YARD OPERATIVE
Location: Bristol & surrounding areas
Hours: Monday–Friday, approx. 7:30am–5:00pm
Start: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing
We are currently looking for an experienced Flatbed Van driver / Yard Operative, transporting plant and equipment between various construction sites across Bristol and the surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role combining driving with general yard duties. When you're not out delivering or collecting plant, you'll be expected to help keep the yard clean, tidy and organised.
The Role

Driving a flatbed van towing a 3T trailer

Moving plant, machinery and equipment between different construction sites

Loading, securing and unloading equipment safely

Carrying out basic vehicle and trailer checks

Washing and spraying down plant and machinery

Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised

Helping with general yard duties and various odd jobs as required

Assisting the team with moving and organising equipment

Reporting any damage or maintenance issues with plant or vehicles

Completing relevant paperwork when required
Requirements

Full UK driving licence with the appropriate entitlement to tow a 3T trailer

Previous experience towing trailers

Experience transporting plant or construction equipment would be advantageous

Good understanding of load securing and safe transportation

Reliable, hardworking and punctual

Comfortable working outdoors and getting hands-on

Able to turn your hand to a variety of general duties

Construction/plant yard experience would be beneficial
The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy driving when required but equally happy getting stuck in around the yard. No two days will necessarily be the same.
This is an ongoing opportunity with regular work available for the right person.
