With strong growth plans and a collaborative working culture, they are now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor with approximately 2 years industry experience to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will gain exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties and will be supported in their development toward Chartership with the RICS. Candidates currently in a contractor environment will be considered, provided they have demonstrable pre-contract experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, cost plans and feasibility studies
  • Support the development of tender documentation and bills of quantities
  • Evaluate contractor proposals and conduct tender analysis
  • Assist in contract administration and post-contract cost management
  • Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders in a professional and proactive manner
  • Contribute to project meetings and provide regular cost reporting
  • Work collaboratively within the consultancy team while managing individual tasks autonomously

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Pre-contract experience is essential (especially for contractor-side candidates)
  • Strong understanding of cost planning, estimating, and general QS processes
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • Ambition to become RICS Chartered with clear commitment to the APC pathway
  • Excellent communication, numerical, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage time effectively
