This leading Tier 1 contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager to join the company to work on a live project in Hampshire.

The project is a large new build residential development which will have a mix of houses and flats and will run for 3 years over various phases of building.

Your working week as Design Manager will mainly consist of being based on site in the Southampton area and remote working. This is for a contractor who understands the benefits to individuals working from home and that will be available to you.

Key Responsibilities as Design Manager:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of design across pre-construction and construction stages.
  • Lead design workshops and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Review and manage design information for buildability, compliance, and value.
  • Drive collaboration between design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support bid and tender submissions with design-related input and value engineering solutions.
  • Monitor design programmes, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of information.
  • Ensure all design works comply with statutory regulations, project requirements, and company standards.

As a Design Manager, you will have worked on major residential projects for recognised Tier 1 contractors or developers. You will have been a Design Manager for a minimum of 5 years at recognised companies.

This is a permanent position; however, if you are a Design Manager that is open to working on a contract or fixed term basis, via PAYE, CIS or Ltd payment options please apply.
