We require an experienced Civils Supervisor for a temporary contract on a large contract in Newport Pagnall overseeing infrastructure works and drainage teams. The role is to oversee and manage the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will coordinate and direct the activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage 2-3 gangs in coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Undertake daily briefs, point of work risk assessments and book inspections via WhatsApp chat
  • Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations
  • Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met
  • Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
Requirements
  • SSSTS or SMSTS and First Aid
  • 3+ years of experience in civil construction, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Working hours are 07:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and weekends paid at 1.33. No lodge unfortunately.
