Gateman / Traffic Marshall – Axminster, EX13
We are currently looking for an experienced Gateman / Traffic Marshall to join an ongoing housing development in Axminster, EX13.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous site experience who is confident managing a busy site entrance and dealing with deliveries, site traffic and members of the public.
The role will involve controlling and directing traffic entering and leaving the site, managing deliveries, maintaining safe access and egress, and ensuring vehicles and pedestrians are safely managed around the site entrance. The development is situated on a busy main road, so you will need to be confident, alert and comfortable dealing with traffic and the general public.
Duties will include:

Managing the site entrance and controlling access

Directing site traffic and delivery vehicles

Coordinating deliveries and ensuring vehicles enter and leave safely

Assisting with pedestrian and vehicle safety around the entrance

Maintaining clear and safe access to and from the development

Communicating with delivery drivers, site staff and members of the public

Supporting the site team with general traffic management duties

Maintaining a high standard of health and safety at all times
Requirements:

Traffic Marshall ticket essential

NPORS or CPCS is not required
-
Previous Gateman / Traffic Marshall experience preferred

Experience working around a busy construction site is advantageous

Must be confident directing traffic and managing deliveries

Good communication skills and a professional approach

Strong awareness of site health and safety

Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a site team
