A top-tier main contractor is urgently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a £60m cut-and-carve commercial scheme in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a complex, high-value project with a market-leading contractor. The client is open to candidates who can support the lead QS as well as those ready to take on more responsibility as they progress.
Role: Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 + package
Project: £60m Cut & Carve Commercial Scheme
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing / Temp-to-Perm / Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Package and cost management
- Managing variations and change
- Preparing valuations
- Payments and cost reporting
- Attending site and progress meetings
Preferred Experience:
- Experience within commercial build or refurbishment projects
- Exposure to procurement and package management
- Understanding of cut-and-carve or structural alteration projects (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with JCT contracts advantageous
